This is not the case, as a plague or pestilence in the Bible is used here to represent spiritual death, not physical death. Disasters on earth, however, do happen by Divine Providence to correct our direction.

There are, however, prophecies that did foresee the coronavirus pandemic. Would you feel surprised if the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse are all in reality women not men ? if i gave them with a mission to carry out when the great tribulation begins or as you call it the apocalypse if i asked them all to cause war, famine, pestilence and death all across the land if it was like a final test for humanity if any has tiny bit of good left in them or if everything is totally lost. Thats all i had to say farewell you foolish, blind, naive and misguided mortals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9030257666913290314.post-89307936868485633522015-01-28T19:07:01.908-05:002015-01-28T19:07:01.908-05:00Yes. Each of these ages is a cycle, which begins with a new revelation, but towards the end is shrouded in darkness. What I like about Swedenborg is that one can take these eternal truths and apply them to different spiritual states that each person experiences in their own life.Doug Webberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11071107950046910342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9030257666913290314.post-90963629380359379452015-01-28T16:26:50.591-05:002015-01-28T16:26:50.591-05:00It would be helpful to understand "the future...It would be helpful to understand "the future" as something that cycles into physical existence, in a non linear way. In other words, the spiritual reality is omnipresent, and kind of casts shadows into this realm. I think that is some kind of mercy. If that stuff happened all at once, nothing would survive that kind of fire. I mean, there are medicine societies all over, that have already had a thousand years of peace, and are sensing the return of the darkness.

One story, played out in different places and times. That is why the world is the way it is.

Some stuff that is getting ready to happen shows up earlier. Some stuff that already has happened is just getting started. That is the horse of a different color.
nealnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9030257666913290314.post-50975599790476420482015-01-24T11:01:02.931-05:002015-01-24T11:01:02.931-05:00Yes, it does speak about the future, but many of t...Yes, it does speak about the future, but many of the events described have already come to pass: "Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this." (Rev. 1:19) But many are not recognizing what has already come to pass. It primarily concerns the end time or last stage of the Church. For example, Rev. 17-18 speaks of the Roman Catholic Church, how they used religion to gain political power, and a portion of that describes how another portion will split away from it, and yet the Roman Catholic will still rule over it in terms of main theology (the Protestant).

The problem is, many will always place it in a future time period, never applying it. Take a look at the Jews, who are still looking for their Messiah.

The four horsemen of the Apocalypse, indeed, symbolically describes the progressive decline of the Christian Church overall in four stages, which precedes the Second Coming. A close comparison between the four horsemen of the Apocalypse and Matthew 24 shows that the same subject matter is being covered, described in a different way. And once one understands the symbolism of a horse, one can understand the meaning of the white horse which appears in Revelation 19. The battle there is not a physical battle, but a spiritual battle, where the old Church will fight against and reject the reality of the Second Coming.Doug Webberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11071107950046910342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9030257666913290314.post-31169965451807441102015-01-23T21:00:37.383-05:002015-01-23T21:00:37.383-05:00The book of Revelation clearly speaks about events...The book of Revelation clearly speaks about events that are yet to occur so why would the horseman be any different.

http://www.nomadicministry.comNomadhttp://www.nomadicministry.comnoreply@blogger.com
